1. What this policy covers
This policy covers two different kinds of payment:
- Subscriptions: what a school, trust or society (the Customer) pays Boffin Coders Private Limited for Acadvio; and
- School fees: what parents pay their school through the Acadvio app. These go to the school, not to us.
Demos are free and nobody is asked for payment details to book one.
2. Cancelling a subscription
- Subscriptions run for the term in the order form (usually one year) and renew automatically for the same period.
- To cancel the renewal, write to info@boffincoders.com from an authorised email address at least 30 days before the renewal date. We confirm the cancellation in writing.
- The service continues until the end of the paid term. Cancelling does not end the current term early.
- Before access ends you can export your data; we delete it within 90 days after you confirm the export, as set out in our Terms of Service.
3. Refunds of subscription fees
- Fees for a term that has started are not refunded for the unused part of the term.
- Duplicate or excess payments (for example an invoice paid twice) are refunded in full within 7 working days of our verifying them.
- If we end the agreement without cause, or stop offering the service, we refund the prepaid fees for the unused part of the term, pro rata.
- If the order form or written pilot terms say otherwise, they apply.
Refunds are paid to the account or payment method the payment came from. Your bank may take a few more days to show the credit. GST on a refunded amount is adjusted through a credit note.
4. School fees paid in the app (for parents)
When you pay school fees in the Acadvio app, the payment is made through Cashfree Payments to the school’s own account. The school is the merchant, so:
- refunds of school fees are decided by your school under its own fee and refund policy, and made by the school;
- an approved refund goes back to the payment method you used (your UPI account, card or bank account), unless you ask for another account in your own name;
- for questions about a fee, a receipt or a refund, contact your school office first. Boffin Coders Private Limited does not receive or hold school fees and cannot refund them.
5. Failed payments and money debited but not received
If money left your account but the payment failed, or the school did not receive it, the amount is reversed automatically under the Reserve Bank of India’s turnaround-time rules (T is the day of the payment):
| How you paid | Automatic reversal by |
|---|---|
| Debit or credit card, payment not confirmed to the school | T + 5 days |
| UPI, payment not confirmed to the school | T + 5 days |
These are the latest dates allowed; most reversals arrive sooner. If a card or UPI reversal is late, the RBI rules provide for compensation of ₹100 for each day of delay, without your having to ask. The RBI table sets no separate timeline for net banking; your bank reverses a failed net-banking debit under its own process.
If a reversal has not reached you in time, contact your bank with the transaction reference, and tell your school so it can raise the case with Cashfree. If your bank does not resolve it within 30 days, you can complain to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in.
6. How to ask, and how long it takes
For subscription refunds or cancellations, write to info@boffincoders.com with the invoice number, the amount and the reason. We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and tell you the outcome within 30 days at the latest. If you are not satisfied, see our Grievance Redressal page.
